Although remodeling has been planned for a while Kelenföld City Center next to Bikás Park Station still fails to fulfill its potential.

Even the underground station was planned to grant direct access to a modern and multifunctional facility. The investment is still pending although it could serve residents of 10,000 apartments in the area. The building constructed in the mid-1960s provided shopping and cultural facilities for locals.

Architect István Zilahy designed a modern building to fulfill a number of functions. It was home to various vendors and service providers, a library, a community center, a market and Olimpia Cinema.

It was a venue for cultural events like ceremonies of pioneer movement. Walking in the zigzagged building today you may still feel like back in the ‘70s. No wonder it served a filming location for more movies.
